Tyrus Turner, also known as Prince Neo, was born and raised in Macon, Georgia. He discovered his passion for music and performing at 8, singing “Jesus Loves Me” by Whitney Houston in church. BET Apollo Live judge Gladys Knight praised his talent, calling him a marvelous sound with a unique look.
Tyrus has an impressive 3 octave range and released his debut single “Silence,” a song about emotions and breaking free from a toxic relationship. He’s performed with renowned R&B groups like Toni Tony Tone, KiCi & JoJo, Dru Hill, Silk, Kelly Price, K. Michelle, Ginuwine, Jacquees, Ceelo, and Joe in Las Vegas.
After auditioning for various singing competitions, including X-Factor, Voice, BET Sunday Best, and American Idol, Tyrus gained recognition. Donnie McClurkin of “Sunday’s Best” affirmed his talent, saying, “I love your voice, tone, and look. This is the platform for you.”
Tyrus Turner headlined the Macon, Georgia, Historic Cherry Blossom Festival from 2014 to 2016. Now, he performs as a “Prince Impersonator” to finance his music career. He gained popularity at the “Rickey Smiley” Stardom Talent Competition, amassing over 1M views. Tyrus released his hit “Eat It Up” in late winter 2021 and his 90s ballad “Take Our Time,” which resonated with audiences and was played on radio stations in the South.
